We have alittle announcement to make. To further expand our regular Comics universe we have launched the Fighting Spirit! universe weekly online comic. Inspired by Youth Manga like Digimon & Pokemon Andrew “Andeh” Pinkard(Shonen Punk, Panty Brigade, Kegas Bier & the six pack girls) Brings us his new webcomic, DisGons!: DiscDragons. DisGons follws the adventures of young Rairai Masters a ten-years old and his DisGons(DiscDragons), Which are the reincarnated Dragon souls. Rairai fills his head with dreams of becoming a DragonMaster. DisGons is a storyof a boy persuing his dreams and overcoming all obstacles no matter the cost.
“Seven years ago in 2002 my little brother and I started to create crazy stuff. like our own yu-gi-oh!/mageknights combo rip-off game called mythical Legends. That year we also challenged each other in creating an awesome pokemon like ideas. He Created Hogons The name didn’t really have a story behind it. he was around 12 or 13 after all. It had a lot of promise, I was quite Impressed! My Try at the chalenge I created an IP called Mini-Mons: The Gearz Cycle. Some kinda funky amalgam of pokemon & Jeff Matsuda’s Ka-boom![link] I we eventually merged the ideas together under the name Mo’Disk!(monster Disk) Then finally renaming it Hogons before eventually moving on and the ideas were left behind.”
After The Completion of his five year run on Shonen Punk Pinkard took a moment to think about all the series’ under his belt, including but not limited to all the titles under the Shonen Punk line. He realized the body pf his work had been in the Older teen or mature rated category. Andrew wanted to challenge his writing abilities and decided to do a series kids could still read. This Wound up being DisGons! as it will be rated for ages 10 and up, or PG/PG-13. After mulling ideas around he was reminded of The Hogons. After rereading the old scripts Pinkard realized aside from a few things here and there this was , to paraphrase him “a really Boss script.” After a few tweaks and filling in of gaps. It was renamed it DisGons! gave it a more fulfilling background story and world. DisGons! will be updated once a week on Mondays. and eventually collected into print formats by Fighting Spirit Productions.

About Andrew Pinkard
Andrew grew up in Southern California, went to school in Los Angeles and La Puente. After dropping out of 2d graphic design classes at community college, he spent the next few years freelancing in web design and character design while drawing comics for the amusement of his friends and himself. In January of 2004 Andrew debuted Log-On!, a webcomic about a slacker who gets the girl of his dreams from a raunchy Anime DVD.
